2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Founded in 1997, the Big Dog Vineyarrds winery is located in th east bay hills with a spectacular view of the bay. Rocky hilltop soils and the bay-influenced weather make for perfect conditions for growing our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.Harvested by hand at the peak of ripeness and crushed and handmade in small batches, this wine was aged in mostly new French oak barrels for two years before bottling.

Yielding award-winning wines year after year, this our 2019 edition saw success at the Sunset Magazine Wine Awards, earning a silver medal for it's intricate balance of bright fruit and subtle oak notes.

WINEMAKER'S TASTING NOTES:

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon from our Milpitas estate reveals a vibrant, fruit-forward character, with aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and blackberry that immediately capture the senses. These bright fruit notes are complemented by subtle hints of spice, adding a touch of complexity without overpowering the fruit. The nose is fresh and inviting, offering a glimpse of the wine's full-bodied nature.

On the palate, the wine is rich yet approachable, with layers of ripe cherry and plum, balanced by the deep, dark berry flavors that define the Cabernet Sauvignon. The slight spice enhances the wine’s depth, providing a smooth, lingering finish. With its bright fruit and elegant structure, this wine is perfect for pairing with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, or hearty pasta dishes.
