2025 - Narenj - Amber Wine

"The Girl of Nârenj and Toranj" is a Persian folktale about a prince who falls in love with a mysterious girl born from magical fruits—a bitter orange (nârenj) and a citron (toranj). After many trials to find her, he finally brings her home, but a jealous woman replaces the girl and casts her away. Through patience, kindness, and fate, the true girl is restored, the deception is revealed, and the prince reunites with his beloved, affirming that true love and goodness ultimately triumph over envy and deceit.

We are delighted to present our first amber wine, named for the bitter orange trees that grow around the city of Shiraz, filling the air with the heady fragrance of their blossoms. It is vinified much like a red wine, using the skins of our Viognier and Roussanne grapes to extract a maximum intensity of flavor.
