*Limited Inventory*
Although historically used as a blending grape to soften & add its signature spicy aroma to other grape varieties, we have kept Cabernet Franc as the sole grape in this wine. We have only a few rows of these grapes in the back corner of the vineyard, & in 2016 produced just 2 barrels, which comes out to about 50 cases.
A smoky sweet nose evokes molasses & baked strawberries, uplifted by notes of raspberry jam & tart cranberry. This wine has a soft minerality reminiscent of the pencil shaving scented Cab Francs of the central Loire Valley. We are excited to see how it continues to evolve.
