These Merlot grapes were grown on a small hillside vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the perfect combination of sun exposure & ocean influence creates a long growing season.
The fruit ripens slowly, allowing an excellent balance of acid & sugar, and resulting in a wine rich in flavor & deep in color. We hope that you enjoy this, our 7th vintage of Big Dog Vineyards Merlot, barrel-aged for 24 months in Appalachian Oak.
